$18,000 to get codes put in a book?

December 23, 2012

I was pretty skeptical of this, which was why I asked to have it pulled from the Consent agenda to the New Business.

So, if I had been against it, what changed my mind?  Great question, thank you for asking. 🙂

I think the City has an obligation to the people of the community to make sure that the ordinances are published and available for everyone.  I also hope that by having them available for review online, that people will see the massive amount of erosion to property rights that have occurred by Councils.  I’d be willing to throw out almost every single one of the codes.

So, over the next couple of years, as the codes are updated, I hope you’ll take the time and check into some of them and see what Council has done to you while you weren’t paying attention.
